LE test 2

The most obvious challenge we see today is that Live Edit pages do not expose the same integration points as “published” pages. Which means, you may not see the Scroll Documents Toolbox, or Content Quality and Viewport dialogs in the byline
I’d be interested in learning what your experience looks like

Next, in live editing pages “Page revisions” are automatically saved in the background. So, there’s no really way for us (until now) to reliably know which “revision” of the pages are picked up by our apps when saving versions and publishing to viewport.
This will be another thing to try out and let us know if you see any major issues.

  • Brand new Live edit page seen in changelog, published to Viewport - WITHOUT CONTENT

  • but NOT always in the correct position!!!

  • seen by Scroll Docs (via Page groups - behaves like a normal page)

  • when page saved (published), the content shows up in Viewport site as expected.

  • subsequent updates in a normal Edit mode behave as expected.

When page is manually entered into the Live Edit mode:

  • re-entering live edit mode results in changes nor propagating to Viewport and the page doesn’t register as new

  • Moving the Live Edit page in the tree is reflected in the Viewport side

  • Content is not published to the Viewport site until the page is ‘saved’ again.

Scroll Labels

  • A page with scroll-help-center-exclude-page label still shows up in the Viewport changelog but is not in the Viewport site.

  • removing the label - page is in the Viewport site

  • This way it’s possible to exclude a Live Edit page from Viewport until the page is properly ‘saved’
